She stormed out of the house and started walking. She went wherever her legs were dragging her, her mind was now a fierce cyclone of anger, hurt, self pity, betray and totally defeated. She was just like any other teenager and her problems seemed ‘oh-that’s-nothing-life-has-more-serious-puzzles’ for any adults. But for her it was end of her world. She was feeling an extreme urge to run away from not only this world but from her life altogether. Finally when her legs felt small graduals of sand, she knew she was on beach. Looking at the sea wildly spread before her, she ran towards it shouting and crying like volcano erupting from a mountain. When words no longer helped her she stared at the sea waiting for answer, she knew she wasn’t going to get. But she kept staring until a soft thud on her head interrupted her train of thought. A bird had pooped on her head. Suddenly she experienced that all her anger was being replaced by something extremely cool. She had received her answer from God via that bird. She chuckled and a small smile lightened her face. She glanced at the open sea and saw something which made her fall on her knees. She was unable to look away from it. The beauty of the nature spread before her eyes had griped her attention. The sky was all painted orange, red and a tint of crimson by the sun. And the generous sea reflected the sky just to admire the art of the sun. A mild breeze flew over her body sending a shiver of pleasure she hadn’t experienced before. Her curly hairs danced on her shoulder trying to match the rhythm of breeze. Birds flew gracefully over the eternal sky enjoying every bit of their freedom. Waves feverishly came running to her as if they wanted to hug her, but retreated only to again come in her direction.
The sun had slowly gone down and there was only crimson spread all over the canvas of sky. She closed her eyes and felt the sound of the waves still attempting to touch her while breeze continued to flirt, sending shivers all over her body. Time flew and never bothered her silent conversation with the sea. Until a warm hand fell on her shoulder and she slowly opened her eyes to look into her father’s caring face. “Are you alright my love?” He asked with his voice filled with worry. She just smiled to him. She was amazed at her eyes which only saw love everywhere. She was now able to hear herself clearly and all her questions were answered. She now knew that this world hadn’t failed to understand her, but she had failed to understand herself. The storm was within her. And now when she knew how to connect to her inner self, she felt blissful. Before leaving she gave a look at the now dark sea, and thanked it with the bottom of her heart for giving such a wonderful evening, she was never going to forget.
